" Vi reiser gjennom 12 spor og bortsett fra to sanger så er all tekst og melodi skrevet av Caroline Waters. Om du låner ditt øre og lar deg forføre av de vakre tonene merk deg da hvor tidløst hver sang blir brakt fram. Dette er musikk til alle musikkelskere mellom 20 og 100. "
Anniken Meling, Havn & Kirke
"Caroline Waters' fourth solo album "Being Totally Alive" is a beautiful journey in a landscape of various musical expressions. "Being Totally Alive" is (Caroline's) most diverse album as far as musical expressions go, stretching from jazz to classic to pop. Jazzified chamber-pop, if you like. Her previous (CD) "Venus Envy" was much more funky, according to her own description. When asked if this has anything to do with getting older - embracing adulthood, she promtly replies: Never!"
Norway Times Weekly
"Caroline's background includes solid jazz exposure via her father who performed with Denmark's famous jazzman, Sven Asmussen (and Alice Babs too). Her songs are soulful, introspective and reflective. She herself is beautiful, feminine and utterly charming. Her songs deal with deeply personal and at times painful material, such as mourning her dead father and mother, wailing the disappearance into the Nevada desert of her best friend Stefanie Stroh, who has never reappeared. Her lyrics and her incredibly vocal range made a visible impression on the audience. Hopefully, she will be back soon."
